TECHNOLOGIES
Protein Arrays
Protein array technology provides precise analysis of the antigen targets in autoimmune diseases. Bayhill plans to use the technology in guiding product development and to enter licensing arrangements for diagnostic applications.
Reverse Proteomics
Reverse proteomics was developed by Bayhill’s founders as a technology platform for validating and discovering therapeutic targets. Reverse proteomics involves probing arrays of immobilized autoantigens with patient serum to select specific autoantigens. Autoantigens selected through reverse proteomics can be included in a specific autoantigen encoding plasmid, or in drug monitoring, clinical research and eventually diagnostics. The inclusion of these newly defined self-antigens within Bayhill’s BHT-DNA™ program allows for the development of antigen specific therapies to benefit the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
